A Summary in plain English (“Summary”)
*This section is not to be used as a substitute of the actual Privacy Policy, and is merely to be used as an informational shortcut. Audiobarn S.E.N.C. will not be held accountable or liable for any discrepancies between this summary and the actual Privacy Policy.
We (Audiobarn) collect what you provide us, which includes your email address, name, etc, in order to keep in contact with you, or to let you inform us that you’d like to opt out of communications with us for things like newsletters, updates, etc. This includes messages sent by email so that we can improve our customer service, and send you a response. Note: if you’re not subscribed for our newsletter and you send us a question by email, we will not automatically add you to any subscription, but will send an email for feedback on our customer service so that we can improve.
We also collect website usage information such as what pages are visited, for how long, what links are used, etc, so that we can improve our content and website, and understand where our value stands when contacting sponsors.
Although IP addresses are collected along with the rest of the website usage information such as browser type/version, the pages of our site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, etc (because of the third party analytics service we use), we do not store this for individual identification. We aggregate the data so that we can see how our website is doing overall and how it’s being used so that we can improve what we’re offering.
Note: we have links to external websites (not ours), and if you choose to click on it, we are no longer responsible for any harm that might come as a result. That being said, we won’t put any links that we think will bring you or your computer harm.
Naturally we try to keep the data that we have as secure as possible, for your interests and ours, but we can’t claim that it is 100% secure, as some things are just out of our control. That’s just the reality of it all.
Like it’s mentioned above, this is only for you to get an idea of what is included as the actual privacy policy, and shouldn’t be used as the actual privacy policy. This is an effort to be more transparent on our end so that we’re on the same page, and there are no surprises.
We’ll update the privacy policy from time to time, and notify you (either on the website or by email) about it when it happens. We recommend that you check it out.
We realize that most people don’t take the time or effort to read these documents, but even if you’ve made it this far and have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
